BEHIND THE SCENES: How the Nifeliz Asil Sports Car Became a 4099-Piece Legend

Where engineering meets artistry, and every detail stands out of the crowd.

The Spark: A Glimpse of Inspiration

It all started when Senior Designer Leon C stumbled upon a striking car image during a casual browse—a low-slung, aggressively styled machine that seemed to defy stillness. Though he never intended to replicate it, that single image ignited a vision: What if this presence could be captured in building blocks?

Leon's goal wasn't to clone a supercar, but to interpret its soul—the sharp lines, the poised stance, the illusion of speed even at rest. The result is the Nifeliz Asil Sports Car (NF10293), a 4099-piece homage to extreme automotive design, built to deliver both visual impact and mechanical engagement.

Design Philosophy: More Than Meets the Eye

Leon approaches each model like a detective studying a case. "Some designs impress at first glance," he says, "but the ones that stay with you reveal something deeper the longer you look."

For the Asil, that meant focusing on three defining traits:

- The tapered body – narrowing inward to create a compact, aggressive silhouette

- The butterfly doors – a signature supercar statement

- The exposed rear exhaust and suspension – showcasing raw mechanical artistry

Each element was reimagined to work within the constraints of building blocks, without losing the emotion of the original inspiration.

Conquering the Core Challenges

1. The Tapered Body & Butterfly Doors

The inward-tapered design gave the Asil its "predatory" stance but severely limited space for the door hinges and opening mechanism. Leon spent weeks refining the hinge layout and internal supports. "We had to ensure smooth operation while keeping the doors strong and slim—all without disrupting the clean lines," he explains.

2. The Front-End Personality

The bold gaps and intricate lines of the front fascia were another hurdle. Rather than simplifying them, Leon developed a special brick structure solution that preserved the car's identity while ensuring structural integrity. "It's about balance—staying true to the aesthetic without compromising stability."

3. A Smarter Approach to the Chassis Lift

While real supercars often give the impression of a synchronized lift, their systems are intelligently independent. Leon chose a manually independent adjustment for this model. "With a model this heavy, a unified lift makes manual adjustment stubborn and frustrating," he says. "Separate controls improve usability and let builders appreciate the mechanics without a struggle."

The Little Things That Stand Out

A Red Like No Other

The Asil's signature red isn't just any red. The Nifeliz color team spent nearly a year—through five major iterations—perfecting the shade and finish. Combining hand-spraying techniques with machine precision, they achieved a rich, dynamic hue that shifts subtly under different lights.

Custom Wheels, Built from Scratch

Rather than using generic rims, Nifeliz designed the Asil's wheels from the ground up. Three full redesigns ensured they complemented the car's proportions and aligned with the model's high-performance vibe.

All the Moves You Expect

The Asil doesn't just sit there—it comes alive with functions:

- Working 7-speed gearbox with paddle shifters

- V12 engine with moving pistons

- Steerable front wheels

- Adjustable rear wing

- Removable rear cover for engine viewing

"It's not about inventing new functions," Leon notes, "but combining them all seamlessly in one model. That's why it took 4099 pieces."

In the Designer's Words

We asked Leon about his process:

On the toughest challenge:

"Balancing the tapered body with the butterfly doors was something I'd never tried before. Space was tight, but that's where the fun begins."

On the chassis lift:

"Sometimes you break from realism to prioritize experience. Independent lift isn't common in real cars, but it makes the model more enjoyable."

On hidden "surprises":

"I've tucked small details throughout the build that echo the real car. When builders notice them—that's the real reward."

Testers'Corner

The Internal testing build drew positive notes—and a few tough critiques:

"Once you get past the gearbox—which requires patience—the rest flows beautifully."

"The red is stunning. Photos don't do it justice."

"Some pins were stubborn during assembly, and the engine section needed extra care to stay aligned."

Why the Name "Asil"?

The name draws from the word Assailingly—suggesting aggression and intensity. Shortened to Asil, it's bold, memorable, and perfectly matches the car's daring persona.

Final Word

The Nifeliz Asil Sports Car isn't just a display piece—it's an experience. From the custom red finish to the fully functional gearbox, every detail was crafted to make builders feel like automotive architects.

As Leon puts it:

"We didn't just want it to look like a supercar. We wanted it to act like one."
